Safeguarding Commitment
YANG SELI is committed to creating safe, respectful, and supportive environments for everyone
who engages with our work.
We recognise our responsibility to safeguard adults and young people involved in our activities
and take this responsibility seriously
Our safeguarding framework includes:
- Trustee and volunteer Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, where appropriate
- A designated Safeguarding Lead
- Clear reporting and referral procedures
- Clear boundaries around confidentiality and appropriate conduct
Safeguarding concerns are handled promptly and sensitively, with information shared only on a
need-to-know basis and in line with legal and ethical obligations.
Complaints
We welcome feedback and take complaints seriously. Making a complaint will not affect your
ability to access our services.
Possible outcomes may include:
- An explanation or apology
- A review or change of procedures
- Additional staff or volunteer training
- Appropriate corrective action
If you are not satisfied with our final response, you may escalate your complaint to the Charity
Commission for England and Wales, where appropriate.
