Two-Day Wellbeing Retreat – Zadar, Croatia (September 2025)
In September 2025, YANG SELI led a two-day mental wellbeing retreat in Zadar, Croatia, with a
group of six men aged 20–45. The experience combined cultural exploration, mindfulness, time
in nature, and shared connection — all designed to support mental wellbeing, build confidence,
and strengthen peer relationships.
Participants were asked to bring just one bag and one book, and to limit phone use (except for
family contact). This simple boundary encouraged presence, reflection, and meaningful
engagement, helping participants focus on the moment and on one another.
The retreat directly supported YANG SELI’s mission to improve the mental health of men from
Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities through early intervention, peer connection, and culturally informed support.
